Everybody needs a coach
Over the years, I have invested a lot in the best investment I can make; MYSELF. Because I believe that everybody needs a coach. Because only a subjective person, can see your blind spots (the things that we do/say that we don’t (want to) see). I feel like there is still a stigma on this topic. Many people think that going to a coach or psychologist is because you have mental challenges, or that looking for help is a sign of weakness.
I am convinced that looking for support, like a coach, is a sign of strength. Because you have the strength to start working on yourself, to make the quality of your life better. And who doesn’t want to be healthy & happy?
In my case, my job is to teach and inspire people what a healthy & vital lifestyle is. And I need to coach them with energy in order to inspire them. So I need to be on top of my game all the time.
My work is so much more than giving people just advice on what is healthy or what is not. In order to be good at my job, I need to understand the people, the underlying causes. The advice that they really need in order for them to improve their lifestyle, AND have lasting changes.
Because let’s be honest, how hard is it really to be fit? Everybody is unique, but there are some fundamentals for our physiology that are the same for all of us. It is our behavior, the little rituals that we do every day, that define us; who we are and how we look like.
Example: are you a person that when the alarm goes off you snooze 3 times, eventually wake up, grab your phone and start scrolling for 20 minutes, put some clothes on because you are late, and buy a malta and pastechi on the way to work?
OR, are you a person that wakes up, drinks 2 glasses of water, does 5 minutes of journaling, goes for a morning walk or does a 10-minute yoga session, takes a shower, prepares a healthy breakfast, then turns on the phone and goes to work?
I think everybody knows that if you do these rituals every day, that the health and fitness of person number 2 is very different compared to person number 1, right?
This is pure behavior. Therefore, I invest a lot of time in working on this with my clients, and in my online coaching programs. Changing your behavior is not easy, especially because we live in a world where the UNHEALTHY choice is the EASY choice. But, if you have the right mindset, you can start working on your behavior. And you will see that the results will come and will last!
I am now working on a BRAND-NEW online challenge, specified on how to deal with temptations, and how to change your mindset and your behavior. This will result in you getting into ACTION MODE, which creates momentum. This in turn makes it easier to change even more. And that is where the magic happens!
